XIRCOM [an Intel corporation] The proprietary TractorGrip™ design looks like a Caterpillar tractor tread. An elastomer belt wraps completely around the housing and has teeth on the underside that mesh with teeth on the two internal screws. As you rotate the tractor belt, it turns both screws simultaneously aligning and securing the connection. Connections are convenient, fast and secure. A true one-handed solution for road warriors. CAD initiated the TractorGrip™ design as an independent project. Originally devised as both a connectivity aide and as a trans-generational product, the TractorGrip™ design has received wide recognition after Xircom adopted the design for it's line of pocket network adapters.
