Speedotron – Professional Flash Lighting Systems

Control Alt Design has designed and developed numerous flash lighting products and systems for commercial/ professional lighting manufacturers, Inverse Square Systems and Speedotron, Inc.  For Inverse Square Systems we developed the Stroblox Lighting System, the first microprocessor-based electronic flash system.  This highly-modular product line provided flexible configuration allowing photographers to put power and light in just the right place.  Features included: digital fine-graned control of both flash and constant illumination levels, interproduct light matching, automatic bracketing, sequencing and networking of multiple lighting units. 

The Stroblox System kick-started an industry that mimics these features to this day! 

Having recognizing the technological breakthough of the Stroblox strobe lighting system,  Speedotron came to Control Alt Design to redesign their 1950′s venerable Speedotron flash head.  Control Alt Design created the highly visable and often featured 202VF lamp head and derivative products. 

Reduced the fastener count from over 40 parts to only 2 parts, dramatically reducing labor and assembly time.
– Includes die cast adjustable stand adapter.

The 202VF Universal Light Unit incorporates a focusing reflector mount which permits photographers to control the coverage angle of the flash from narrow to wide with all of the company’s Black Line light control accessories.  The enclosure has uni-body construction utilizing a super tough high glass-fill nylon, and has a detachable stand mount and unique connector for the power cable.

FEATURES – The 202VF features a 2400Ws plug-in vented flash tube, noiseless fan cooling, switched 250W quartz model lamp and flash tube cover for protection.

Based on the success of the 202 Universal Light Unit, Control Alt Design created the self contained power supply flash, the Force 10 Monolight Unit.
